Big Boy Post - Finn is 15 months old!

Monday afternoon Finn had his 15 month check up. As usual, he was perfect, and as usual, he was big.

Weight: 28 lbs - 90th percentile
Height: 32 inches - 85th percentile
Head Circumference: 19.25 inches - 95th percentile

Finn is getting so much fun. More and more every day.

He loves dogs and cats, really loves cats, I think because he is less familiar with them.

Is a pro at walking.

Talks a lot, but mostly things we can't understand.

Loves food, he is very healthy with his some of his favorites being soy beans and hummus. But he is also a big meat eater. He loves him some steak.

Gives great kisses, and starting to give closed mouth kisses!

Loves opening and closing doors.

Loves watching daddy skateboard.

Very observant, he is always pointing at everything, totally amazed at the world around him.

Loves other kids. If the neighbor boys are out playing he bangs on the window and wants to go play.

Loves walks, bike rides and being outside.

Loves slides and swings.

Has a great sense of humor. Finn is always cracking himself and us up.

Millcreek Canyon

Now that summer is over, we've realized we haven't taken advantage of it and our beautiful surroundings. We've been dying to go camping, but we've been too busy all summer. At least so far, it has been a perfect fall.

Sunday night we headed up Millcreek Canyon to BBQ some steaks and cook baked potatoes. The leaves are starting to change and the canyon was gorgeous. And the food was delicious. (Even if we forgot the Sour Cream)

The Doctor's Office

Finn went to the doctor today because of a fever. We thought he might have an ear or sinus infection, but he didn't. Doctor said it is probably just his teeth. Since I didn't get to go today, Ben took a picture to keep me in the loop.

Anyways, Finn loves the doctor's office. They have the best toys.

We will be back there on Monday for his 15 month check up. 15 MONTHS!!!

The Grass is Greener....

The other night after our walk, I got Finn out of his stroller and he immediately ran to our neighbors yard. Usually, when the gate is open, he'll run (waddle) right in and head for the slide. Monday night, the gate was shut. He stood there banging on the door until I finally had to drag him inside screaming. What a horrible mom I am. Maybe I should buy a slide?

Farm Animal Friends

Saturday we took Finn to Thanksgiving Point to see the farm animals. This may have been the best day of Finn's life. He loved every minute of it.

The baby turkey's and chickens. For $2 you can take a chick home, Ben and I were EXTREMELY close to going home with one of these.


When you first go outside, the first animals you see are the goats. I personally would love to own a goat, especially this little guy. He was about 1/4 of Oscar. I think he'd make a great house pet.

Finn loved the goats as much as his mom. I don't think he realized there was more to the petting zoo. We kept trying to make him leave to see other animals and he kept crying and running back. Finally he realized there was more to see.

The Dew Tour

Saturday night we headed downtown for the Dew Tour. We went last year but missed the best events because of rain.

We mainly wanted to see the Skatepark Finals. We got there around 5 thinking we'd have time to walk around and do other things, but the crowd lining up to get into the Delta Center for the event that started at 7:30, was huge. I read it was around 26,000 in attendance for this one event.

So we sat around the Delta... I mean Energy Solutions Area for two hours watching practice. It was all fun, just a little hectic and Finn could NOT handle sitting still for four hours. I had to take him into the hallway several times to keep his sanity.
