Playing and Walking Around

Finn is non-stop at home. He is constantly moving, playing with his car or anything he can find. It's amazing that kids can just play for hours without stopping and just sitting for a few minutes. The days of him cuddling with us are long gone.

And yes, Finn is teething right now and is VERY drooly.

New Wall

I've been wanting to add something more to Finn's room for a year now. Everything I wanted was just too expensive. Finally, thanks to Amy Coe and Babies R Us, Finn's room is much cuter.

This next picture doesn't have great quality because we were doing a panoramic so you can see the entire wall.

Finn loves the circles. He points (he points with entire hand) and gasps.

We have an idea for the opposite wall as well. Hopefully we'll get that done in the next week and we'll put pictures up soon.

August Birthdays

Sunday afternoon the family headed up to our favorite park, George Washington, in Parley's Canyon for the August birthday party. We ate and sat/laid around in the shade.

Soren entertaining Finn.

And finally, just Finn being cute.

P.C.H.S. 10 Year Reunion

Saturday night was my 10 year High School Reunion. Crazy how fast time has gone by. I actually haven't kept in touch with that many people that were in my grade. But with a few it seemed like no time had passed at all. Plus, I keep updated with so many through their blogs, that I already knew their spouses and kids names. Yes, I'm pathetic.

Dinner and dancing up at The Lodge at Stillwater. We sat with our friends J.R. Bell, Chad Crowther and Cianne Dorius.

Chad and wife Debbie.

J.R. (You will see, that I have an ability to take wonderful pictures of people.)

Me and Ben taking pictures of ourselves.

Dancing.

Ben's friend Nate actually married Bree who went to High School with me. Again, a great picture.

My friend Lee. No, he doesn't have a really cheesy smile. I just decided to ask him a question right as I took the picture. Sorry Lee.

I didn't really take too many pictures over the night. Hopefully everyone else will post pictures soon so I can steal them off their blogs.

Big Boy Post - Stairs.

Finn is an expert at going up and down the stairs. We don't let him do it too often because it scares me to death. But as long as someone is behind him, I'm O.K.

My new hiking shoes

Last night I found out that these shoes

are NOT made for hiking.

This very blurry picture is the beginning of the hike we took last night to some water falls at Rose Sachs Gardens. Looks pretty tame right now, but it got really steep and uneven (and thankfully short). I thought I was going to die on the way down. Going down in heels is MUCH harder than going up.

We went up for Brooke Koch's wedding reception and it was beautiful. I would highly suggest that location for any wedding. We did not take a camera, so here are some blurry photos of Finn.

Luau

Saturday night we went over to Amanda's for a BBQ. The spread was amazing and everything tasted great. I didn't take that many photos, but here are a few.

Finn LOVED Patrick's mini chair.

Finn & Paddy playing in the ice.

See Finn, this is the piece of ice I'm going to throw at your head.

Zack and Miranda. (And Ben's hand)

The quality of my posted video's are about to get much better.

If I ever figure out how to use this thing.

Big Boy Post - Almost There!

I think the most steps he has taken is probably like 10. Getting very close!

Eat til you can't eat no more

Sunday afternoon (after Memorial Grove), a few family members hit up Rodizio Grill, thanks Dad!. We got one photo of the occasion. What a cute family.

P.H. Rex Family Reunion - Part 3

Sunday morning we met up with the family one last time at the Meditation Chapel in Memory Grove. Memory Grove was built to honor the Utah veterans that died (and bodies never found) in WWI, WWII and Vietnam.

We sat around and learned about the life and death of my great uncle John Morgan Rex who's plane was shot down off the coast of Australia in WWII. His sister, my great aunt Flora, spoke of her memories of him and hearing of his death when she was 12.

Here is my cute cousin Julia holding Finn.

And Ben looking hot on the steps of chapel.

While we were there, another group of people decided to meet up at the park as well. For some reason there was about 50 people dressed as zombies. Which is fine I guess, it's a public park. I think a public park that isn't built to remember dead family members might be a little more appropriate for zombies, but whatever. It was just really annoying that when they left they didn't clean up any of their "blood" that was all over the sidewalks. And they also left buckets of blood lying around. Thanks Zombies, for making our parks beautiful.
