My beautiful office.

Apparently our offices flooded over the weekend. So all the carpet is torn out and our furniture it thrown all over the place. Now they are in the process of ripping out drywall to replace and I think we are moving offices tomorrow. Fun.

Oh Walmart Christmas Tree

This is the first year Ben and I haven't had a real tree. It's a little sad. But a real tree would have been a disaster with Hurricane Finn. We can't keep him away from it, he LOVES the tree. We bought all non-breakable ornaments this year to add to Ben's ornaments that his Grandma made him. But so far, not many are staying on the tree.

So far Finn has:
*Put an entire ball in his mouth, and I'm sure the "nontoxic" green paint that was running down his face was great for his little body
*He has taken another ball off and kicked it around the living room, "whoa"
*Carried the knit Santa basket around
*Has only admired the apple, hasn't tried to eat it, yet
*Thrown the red knit bird

We created a furniture barricade around the tree, but Finn being all boy (and possibly some mountain goat), can get over that with no problems. Hopefully the novelty will wear off and we'll have some ornaments left for Christmas.

Gingerbread Fun.

My goal was to make a real gingerbread house this year. My mom always did one from scratch growing up and it was so much better and more fun. I did one a few years ago, and even though it REALLY time consuming. It's very rewarding.

This year we did the kit. It comes with pretty dumb candy, so we added some of our own. The gingerbread people don't really look like people, more like gingeraliens, but equally as sugary. You'll notice the great Kiss trees. That was my genius idea.

Finn was a great help, he ate all the excess candy and got a little sugar crazy.

Bow de bow.

We have no idea what this means. But Finn says it probably 50 times a day. Hopefully whatever he is trying to tell us isn't very important.

Thanksgiving in Oklahoma Recap

We didn't take too many pictures while in Oklahoma. Dee Anne, please send me all the pictures you took. Here is a recap of our trip.

Ben flew to OK a few days before me. I was dreading the flight alone with Finn with good reason. He was exactly what I expected. He would not sit still for more than 5 seconds. Would throw fits if I didn't give him what he wanted or the few times he tried to escape under the guy next to us seat. He didn't really scream or cry too much, so I think he was only bothering me. The two men on both sides of me were so nice and loved Finn and played and talked to him, which helped.

Then we hopped on another flight after rushing through the Dallas airport. This flight was pretty short and I got lucky again. Finn started this flight off by extending his body and laying on the guy next to us lap. Again both neighbors loved Finn. The man in front of us however, was annoyed with Finn and gave us a few dirty looks. He was busy cuddling with his girlfriend and did not want to be disturbed. I think I gave him a little dose of visual and audible Birth Control.

Finally we got to Tulsa and we all headed out to dinner. This is where Finn lost it. I scarfed down my meal and took Finn to the car and we drove around the parking lot to sleep, while everyone else finished up. We got to MiMi's house and went right to bed.

Next morning, Thanksgiving, we headed to Oklahoma City to eat, hung out, came home and put Finn to bed. Got a burger, shake and fries from Braums. Went to bed.

Friday we slept in. Wonderful. Finn woke up around 8, but played in his crib quietly so we could sleep longer. Then we headed to Woolaroc. After Woolaroc, we picked up Grammy and met up with Jake and friends at Goldies. All but one of Ben's brothers worked here in the past and it's tradition to go, at least once, every trip to Bartlesville. I had ANOTHER burger. Finn had fried green beans and basically drank the side of ranch that came with it.

Now I'm sick to my stomach and extremely tired, but Ben and I decided to go to the new Bond movie and leave Finn home with Mimi and Grandpa.

Saturday morning we woke up early and went to the Swap Meet that Ben's mom and StepDad go to every Saturday. It's a little bit better than the one in SLC. Actually a lot better. Tons of toys, electronics, and toiletries. We could have bought stuff, but no way to get it home. Chad did buy us a Numchuck for our Wii so that was awesome.

We went back to the house, ate breakfast and put Finn down for a nap. After the nap we rushed to the airport thinking we were really late. Our flight had been delayed over an hour and we wouldn't make our connecting flight. So American put us on a direct flight on Delta and we got 2 seats together. Needless to say, the flight home was much easier with Ben's help. But Finn was still a handful.

All in all, it was a wonderful trip and great to see Ben's family. Hopefully it won't be too long before we go back.

Woolaroc

Friday we went with Dee Anne and Chad to Woolaroc. Ben had fond memories of going here as a kid and I had no idea how cool it was going to be. Woolaroc was the ranch of Frank Phillips (Phillips Oil) back in the early 1900's. 3700 acres of land where Buffalo, Elk, Cows, Ostrich and tons of other animals.






Along with the animals there is a huge museum that contains Frank Phillips personal collection and has been added to over the years. So much native American stuff and things from around the world. Plus more guns then I knew existed. Finn loved all the dead stuffed animals. If only he knew that they were all dead.








There is also a petting zoo, and you all know how much Finn loves animals.

Thanksgiving in Oklahoma City

We went to Tulsa, Oklahoma for Thanksgiving to stay with Ben's mom. On Thanksgiving Day we drove up to Oklahoma City to Ben's great aunt Dorothy. Lots of distant relatives I've never met, and I don't remember any of their names. But it was fun, relaxing and we ate a ton.

It was beautiful weather and Finn wanted to be outside.


The highlight of the trip for Finn was the battery operated snow globe.

Stoked on Socks... and Finn.

A few weekends ago my friends Miranda and Katie (yes you are a friend now), did a wonderful sock fundraiser at Z Pizzeria.

There was lot of food and dancing and Finn loved watching everyone. Eventually the crowd thinned out and Finn was able to get on the dance floor and show us his moves. Sadly we didn't take pictures of that. But here are a few others.

Big Boy Post - Eating with a fork... sort of.

Finn will not let us feed him anymore. Which makes mealtime a lot messier and a lot longer. He is getting much better with the fork. Sometimes he still gets frustrated and uses his hands, but he usually at least keeps the forks in hand while doing it.

Sorry for the millions of pictures, but it's kinda fun to see his whole eating process.
