Flashback Friday - Lost Film

2 1/2 years after our trip to the Caribbean, we finally got our water pictures developed. It was worth the wait. Honestly, I think I could have waited another 2 1/2 years.

Flashback Friday - Beauty in a Bonnet

Yes I am a beauty in a bonnet. I was my mom's dress up doll. Having me after 5 boys, was very exciting for my mom. She was able to do my hair and sew me beautiful outfits... and bonnets.

Flashback Friday - Sundance Film Festival 2000

This is my friend Paul.

Paul was/is one of my best friends. When we were in High School and a few years beyond, we were connected at the hip. I haven't spoken with him in a few months, I don't even know where he is.... I think he is living in Park City though.

Back when we were young, we'd really enjoy the Sundance Film Festival. Somehow back then, it was easy to get into movies and parties. It has completely changed now and is WAY to popular. It isn't even fun anymore.

Anyways, we'd go to 2 or 3 movies premiers a year and then go out to dinner and hit up Main Street after. We snuck into our fair share of private parties and got the goody bags and everything.

Here I am with my eye's closed. Strange, I never have my eyes closed in pictures. I guess what is weirder is that Paul has one eye closed.

Paul with the actress from The Fast and the Furious. She was in some weird movie we saw where Camera Diaz was her sister... not very realistic.

And me with cute hair in the parking lot by Main Street. I think this year was my cutest.

Flashback Friday - Babymoon

A few months before I got pregnant, Ben and I decided we needed to go on one last vacation alone before we started having kids. It was all last minute, but we decided to go on a cruise to the Western Caribbean.

Some of our stops: Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Belize, and one other place I can't remember. It wasn't my favorite cruise, I really prefer Eastern Caribbean, but it was still nice. I'm not a fan of Mexico at all, but I loved Play del Carmen, it was beautiful.

Anyways, I am DYING for a beach vacation, so I thought these pictures would cheer me up... but really they just make me more depressed.

Flashback Friday - All You Need is Love.

I took a photography class in college and did a project about the people I love. I do love more people than this, but these are the people that were easily accessible, probably the day before it was due.

The date on my project was December 15, 2001 and here are a few of the photos from it. (obviously they don't look quite as good because I had to scan them in, I promise they looked good at the time.)

Flashback Friday - Ultrasound

It is so hard to make out ultrasounds, even harder when they are this tiny.

Just wanted to document one of the best days of my life. The pregnancy never felt real until I could actually see something. We could already tell he was going to be so chubby and cute.

Flashback Friday - NYC

For our one year anniversary, Ben and I went to New York City. Neither of us had been before, so we did everything.

I just remember one day I was so exhausted and my feet hurt so bad, I just had to sit in the bathtub rubbing my feet for a half an hour.

We flew JetBlue, so we got to NYC early in the morning. We dropped off luggage at The New Yorker Hotel and decided to start off with the Statue of Liberty. It was so hot and clammy and we'd been up basically all night and hadn't showered, which makes everything worse.

So hot, Ben had to roll up his pants. This is probably one of my favorite pictures of Ben ever.

The city.

The coolest homeless guy playing the keyboard, that Ben shot (being very sneaky) as we walked by.

Ben resting on stairs of the Met.

We took the subway all the way to the top of Central Park and walked the entire length. The top was not in the best neighborhood, but in my opinion it had the best garden's of the whole park (at least what we saw).

Flashback Friday - Diania and Aubri's Engagement

Honestly, I have no idea what year this is. I'm guessing 2000 - 2001? Aubri?

Before either me or Aubri got married, I went down to St. George to visit her for New Year's Eve... or 4th of July. All I know is there are photo's of fireworks. I think it was New Year's since we have hoodies. Probably New Years right after I got a really nice camera for Christmas. I miss this film camera.

Anyways, we went for a hike just out of St. George and took a bunch of really cute B&W photos of ourselves. I love these pictures.

Here is Aubri's engagement picture, she could have just photo-shopped in Marc a year later. Her pose is picture perfect, cheesiness for a great Utah wedding announcement.

I'm a little obsessed with taking pictures through plants. This started in High School photography. I remember taking a picture of Jordan Stein through a plant during our really productive Fashion Design class... anyways, I'm a little off subject. Here I am with Aubri through a tree.

I can just imaging Aubri saying "be happy, ok now give me angry... good, good"

"Wayne and Yara Selph would like to announce the engagement of their daughter Diania Vivie Dickerson to Aubri Jo Kidd."

Flashback Friday - Three Generations

Great picture of me, my dad and his mom. It looks like we are at temple square, my grandma was here from South Carolina and probably wanted to go. Or maybe it was someone's wedding, not sure.

Anyways, my dress is classic. I'm sure I thought it was beautiful with all the flowers, lace and giant doily.

I'm probably like 10 here.

Flashback Friday - Newborn Diania

Picture of me at the hospital.

Here is a picture of me either coming from the hospital or the day of my blessing.. Not sure, but my Grandparents that live close and they where there, so I'm guessing it was a big day.

Holding me in the really safe carseat, is my Grandpa Harold, his wife Diania is next to him. Then little McKay being held by my dad, my mom and then my Dad's mom, Vivie on the right.

Front row: helping hold me is Theran, then Morgan, Ethan with the strange smile and Matt on the right.
