Mark's Birthday

I'm playing blog catchup. A few weekends ago Teri and Mark had a BBQ for Mark's birthday. Their yard, and their neighbors yard, were perfect for kids to run around and be wild. I hardly saw Finn all night because he was playing next door in the little purple playhouse with another little boy.

I stole these pictures from Teri's blog today because I didn't take pictures. Thanks Teri! And Happy Birthday Mark!

Me and the Birthday Boy

Teri and Chace. His first BBQ and he did great.
Finn ate way too much cake. And kept asking for more. He is so cute, he almost got some.

Word of the Day - BlackBabies

If Finn tells you he wants to eat blackbabies, please do not be alarmed. He is not a racist, or a cannibal. However, he really likes them and I think he ate about 200 of them last week.

BlackBabies

noun
1. the fruit, black or very dark purple when ripe, of certain species of the genus Rubus. Otherwise known as blackberries.

Mother's Day and Spencer's Wedding

Last weekend was busy. Cousin Spencer was getting married so that meant lots of family time. Which is good, I like family time and love most, just kidding, all of my family.

We had cousin Adam sleeping over and bonding with Finn and lots of parties.

Saturday morning we got together for a Mother's Day breakfast with aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, dads and of course MOMS.

Love this action shot of April throwing the Frisbee. Stole from my cousin's blog. Actually I stole a lot of these pictures. Thank you Precia and Amy!
Saturday night was Spencer's wedding reception at Noah's. Beautiful and so fun playing with everyone.
Both the bride and groom are science geeks. Here is a shot of the groom's cake. The kids were hilarious dancing on the ledge. Until they turned off the music and kicked everyone off. Best moment of night was Cousin Jeff's son Dylan dancing to YMCA.

Living Planet Aquarium

Over the weekend I got Finn all ready to go outside and take a walk and it was a crazy thunderstorm with hail. He was ready to do something, so we quickly jumped into the car and headed to The Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy.

I had been when they were downtown at Gateway and I worked on managing the account and placing their media. I loved it then, even though it was much smaller and not as good.

New location is much nicer, more to see and seems like there is room to grow.

Highlights:

Finn thought the frogs were going to attack him. I was trying to explain to him that there is glass, and they can't get out. He wasn't nervous with all the tanks, just that one, I think because it had like 20 frogs in it.

He would NOT touch the sting rays or starfish. I was holding him and I was touching the star fish and a sea urchin and he screamed with fear in his voice for me, " NO MOMMY!!"

I forgot my camera, so I used my phone so most of the pictures aren't that great. Plus the lighting is very dark in there. But we had a great time and I will be back, maybe Finn will even touch something.
