Word of the Day - Yuggy
Yuggy
noun
1. A prepared food having the consistency of custard, made from milk curdled by the action of cultures, sometimes sweetened or flavored. Also known as yogurt.
Finn is not a morning person. Most mornings he is lying in bed, half awake, in a daze when we get him up. Then he wants to be held, doesn't want to change his clothes and of course needs his binky.
Yesterday morning I opened the fridge to get his medicine (he has an ear infection) and he saw yogurt. He lost it, all he wanted was yuggy cow, YUGGY COW!!!! Most mornings I don't give us enough time to feed him breakfast since he gets it at school. We usually give him his milk and he is OK.
Not this morning.
So Ben has to hold him down to get his medicine in him and then I poured his yuggy into a sippy cup and mixed with milk to see if that would help. Explaining to him that he could drink it in the car. But then he was screaming louder saying "COW, NO COW!!!"
I guess packaging already matters to my 2 year old.

Monsters and Aliens
Over the weekend we did lots of yard and house work. We did manage to take a break and take Finn to his first real movie. Monsters and Aliens. He has been to movies in the past, but when he was a baby and sleeping through them.
This time around, he got his own seat in between me and Ben, had his sippy cup full of juice and piles of popcorn in his lap.
For the first 45 minutes he was in awe of the huge screen and the popcorn. I honestly don't think he's had much popcorn before, but he loved it. He was totally silent and unaware of his surroundings, except for the movie.
Then, the Monsters broke a fence. And Finn yelled "OH NO!!" then for the next 30 minutes he was totally into it yelling at the "caughters" helicopters and everything else that was exciting.
About 15 minutes before the movie was over, he was done, and asked me "go?". But he was quickly distracted once I gave him more popcorn and he finished out the last 15 minutes like a pro.
He was so cute watching this movie, several times I wanted to take a picture so I could capture the moment. At one point, sitting in between us, he had one hand on my shoulder and one hand on Ben's shoulder, just staring ahead at the movie.

Word of the Day - Noe / Noeing
Noe
–noun
1. A precipitation in the form of ice crystals, mainly of intricately branched, hexagonal form and often agglomerated into snowflakes, formed directly from the freezing of the water vapor in the air. Otherwise known as snow.
This morning when we went to get into the car, Finn yelled excitingly "NOE!!!"
I'm very sad that Finn still uses this word on April 16th.
All the flowers were bent over dead this morning a few inches of snow covering them.
I'm over it. And hopefully he'll never have to say noe again, at least for several months.

Corn Dog
Just talking to my mom on the phone.
She told me she was giving Finn a corndog and I overheard her telling Finn that it wasn't too hot to eat.
Then Finn asks my mom "poopie?"
"No Finn, it isn't a poopie, you pick it up and eat it, like this."
Hopefully there is no confusion next time we are changing a diaper.

Easter Sunday
We went to my parents house for Easter dinner and cousin egg hunt.

It was a beautiful day, so we walked to the park when we were done.

Finn is ALL boy. And loves to climb. Without thinking twice about it, (or asking for our approval) he climbed all the way up the climbing wall with absolutely no help. Second time around, while we were filming him, didn't do as well, but that is why we were standing close to catch him.

Disneyland
While in California we went to Disneyland. Finn and Ben's first time and my first time since I was probably 14.
First ride we went on was the Jungle Cruise. Finn was pretty nervous especially when the Piranha's jumped out of the water. He was on the verge of crying at any minute. But still loved the animals.

Second up was Pirates of the Caribbean. Finn was still a little nervous and cried a bit when he got wet. But mostly just relaxed and enjoyed the ride.
Didn't see the sign, "No flash photography" until we got out.

Flying through London with Peter Pan.

We almost got Christina to throw up. Sad that the little kids liked going faster than us.

Playing in the Tarzan Treehouse and wishing it was still the Swiss Family Robinson's house.

The Brother Bear camp was probably our favorite place to play.

"Don't take a picture"

Not wanting to go down the stairs.
Finn was TERRIFIED of the bear. He just stared at him backing away slowly. Even as we were walking away, he was looking back making sure he wasn't following us. Yara loved him.

Probably the most boring ride in California Adventure. Not sure what it was called, something Bugs Life or Heimlich, but Finn enjoyed the bugs. He kept saying "bug, eewww gross".

Yara met some friends who loved her while waiting to give our tickets back to our lady. Seriously, we figured out the best way to go to Disneyland cheap. If you ever want to know, ask.
While Finn slept in his fancy new stroller.
I thought for sure Finn would be asleep the whole way back to Christina's in the car. But he was as happy as ever. And cold apparently, look at those cheeks!
