P.H. Rex Family Reunion - Part 3

Sunday morning we met up with the family one last time at the Meditation Chapel in Memory Grove. Memory Grove was built to honor the Utah veterans that died (and bodies never found) in WWI, WWII and Vietnam.

We sat around and learned about the life and death of my great uncle John Morgan Rex who's plane was shot down off the coast of Australia in WWII. His sister, my great aunt Flora, spoke of her memories of him and hearing of his death when she was 12.

Here is my cute cousin Julia holding Finn.

And Ben looking hot on the steps of chapel.

While we were there, another group of people decided to meet up at the park as well. For some reason there was about 50 people dressed as zombies. Which is fine I guess, it's a public park. I think a public park that isn't built to remember dead family members might be a little more appropriate for zombies, but whatever. It was just really annoying that when they left they didn't clean up any of their "blood" that was all over the sidewalks. And they also left buckets of blood lying around. Thanks Zombies, for making our parks beautiful.
